Overall purpose of the role:
The Grants Coordinator plays a key role in facilitating effective and efficient grants management, compliance, and partnership coordination for the Sudan Regional Response Pooled Fund (SRRPF) at the axis level. This position manages the grants lifecycle at the axis level, provides guidance directly to fund recipients, and facilitates compliance with donor regulations and SRRPF standards. The position will work closely with fund recipients in the Central Darfur – Wadi Sila axis; a strong network, access, and proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders in the axis is essential.
Responsibilities :
The Grants Coordinator will
- Manage due diligence and vetting processes for fund recipients, ensuring compliance with donor and SRRPF standards.
- Manage grant application processes, including guidelines, templates, and evaluation criteria at the axis level.
- Administer grant agreements and amendments at the axis level, supported by the Grants and Partnership Manager.
- Communicate clearly to fund recipients on grants management, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Adhere to all reporting and information management requirements as per the SRRPF Grant Management System (GMS).
- Monitor fund recipients’ compliance with grant conditions, the SRRPF Operations Manual, and donor requirements.
- Raise potential risks of non-compliance to the Grants and Partnership Manager.
- Monitor grant implementation and regular follow up with fund recipients on the timely and quality submission of financial and narrative reports.
- Recommend adaptations to requirements, as needed, to facilitate compliance at the local level.
- Ensure fund recipients have access to tools and guidance on the SRRPF standard grants management requirements provided by the SRRPF.
- Receive requests for on-demand capacity support from fund recipients and share internally for action.
- Upload all grant-related to the GMS or other systems.
- Maintain detailed records of grants, including applications, reports, and feedback letters at the axis level.
- Facilitate review meetings with fund recipients and follow up on action points.
- Maintain consistent and effective communications with relevant networks and stakeholders at the axis level, including the Axis Governance Board.
- First point of contact within the SRRPF for all fund recipients and partnership processes at the axis level.
- Support the Fund Management Unit in mapping the axis level stakeholder landscape.
Experience and Technical competencies (included year of experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in grants management within the international humanitarian, development or peacebuilding sectors.
- University degree in international development, business administration, political science, or a related field.
- Certifications in grants, partnership or project management are an advantage.
- Proven expertise working with institutional donors (e.g., FCDO, EU, ECHO, USAID, UNHCR).
- Strong understanding of donor regulations and compliance.
- Proven ability to work closely with partners, in particular, local organisations/civil society.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and adapt to complex environments.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with and engage with networks in Darfur -Wadi Sila.
- Experience working with Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Power Apps or internal grants systems development.

What we offer
Contract: 1 Year Contract with the possibility of extension, subject to funding and performance.
